You’ve come a long way, baby seat
Written by Rachel Berman
Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching, and while I have a few ideas of what to get my mom (I’m just deciding on my price range — under $50 or over ), I also like to get gifts for friends of mine who are new moms. Instead of flowers or a dinner out, I give something that makes their lives a little easier — so important for women with little ones! This year, I’ve settled on nomie baby car seat covers.
Recently, I went on a car trip with a friend who started shaking out her toddler’s seat and wiping it down in the driveway before we took off. I was kind of shocked by the amount of time and energy it took. So I started looking for a gift that could help with all those pieces of snacks that get caught in the crevices. The nomie baby car seat covers are waterproof, washable, soft, and cute, and slip over any standard infant or toddler car seat. Once the cover gets sufficiently dirty, just take it off, put it through the washer/dryer cycle, and put it back on, without any damage to the car seat. It’s a money-saver too, helping maintain the quality of your car seat so you can reuse it with your next child or hand it down to a friend. So this year, I plan to save my friends time, money, and a little bit of sanity — exactly what we try to do every day here at Skinny and the City!
