Think eating healthy is expensive? It doesn’t have to be. People may be turning to fast food to save a few bucks, but there are ways to watch your wallet without sabotaging your waistline. Besides strategizing on the ingredients you buy, you can look for deals online. I’ve found a new go-to website that makes it extremely easy to shop smart and healthy.
Mambo Sprouts (mambosprouts.com) is a website and coupon mailing service that provides discounts on natural, healthy, and organic foods. Simply go to their site, scroll through, and print out the coupons you want for free — no need to sign up or pay anything. If you’d like, you can receive additional special offers and booklets in the mail. Mambo Sprouts also has a green Go Mambo van that drives ’cross country spreading free product samples and coupons nationwide; check out their website to see where it’ll be next!
Another way to save money on your favorite health foods? Look for extra savings directly at your favorite stores. Whole Foods Market, for one, offers great in-store savings. Last time I was there, I picked up a copy of their newsletter “The Whole Deal” at the store’s entrance. It was packed with budget-friendly meal ideas and lots of coupons. The cashier said “this is awesome!” as she rang up all my coupons — even the employees aren’t aware of this money saving gem.
Check the websites of your favorite brands, too. Kashi.com, horizonorganic.com, and earthboundfarms.com, to name a few, all offer coupons to print out and bring to the store. Just a little planning will save you big bucks.
