Recently, as my children and I were enjoying quality time watching our favorite anime, I relized I could turn the events going on in the toon into a science lesson. They were ecstatic to see science in a fun and practical way.

... I take my friend Jessica (who is only 32. a songle parent and going through breast cancer treatment) to and from her appointments. I watch her son, make her dinner and buy her treats that will taste good after a round of chemo. She is a true hero to me and I would do anything for her!!!!

... It feels funny speaking of my own kindness, but I realize many of us do this without realizing how important we are to other people. My kindness comes in slowing down to look someone in the eye when they just need a friend, or listening to an older person tell me the same story as if I never heard it before. Also TRULY appreciating someone for who they are, not what I want them to be.
